Packaging Finishes Explained
Matte and gloss lamination, foil, soft-touch, spot UV, varnish and die cutting are available finishes, chosen per order rather than included by default.
Finishes change scuff resistance and how a pack feels. Finishes available across our catalog include matte lamination, gloss lamination, foil stamping, soft-touch lamination, spot UV, varnish, aqueous coating, embossing, and die cutting. Each product page lists the finishes offered for that style.
A finish listed on a product is an available catalog option, not a requirement for every order. Foodservice cartons often skip foil. Luxury rigid boxes more often carry foil or soft-touch because those finishes are attached there.
Do not treat a finish name as a durability or food-contact certification. Confirm the finish list on the quote with quantity and board.
